Scammers are constantly finding new ways to trick people out of their money. Here are some of the most common scams we’re seeing – and how to protect yourself: 🔹 Fake Delivery Texts/Emails You may receive a message claiming to be from Royal Mail, Evri, or DPD asking for payment or personal details. ✅ Don’t click links – go directly to the official website. 🔹 Bank Scams Scammers may call pretending to be from your bank, saying your account is at risk. ✅ Hang up and call your bank using the number on the back of your card. 🔹 Online Marketplace Scams Fraudsters may post fake listings or ask for payment outside the platform. ✅ Use secure payment methods and never send money via bank transfer. 🔹 Romance Scams Someone you meet online may build a relationship and then ask for money. ✅ Be cautious – never send money to someone you haven’t met in person. 🔹 Energy or HMRC Scams You might get calls or emails offering rebates or threatening fines. ✅ Genuine organisations won’t pressure you or ask for personal info this way.
